As part of our commitment to learning both in and through music, the Arlington Band Boosters provides several scholarships for interested students to pursue opportunities outside of school programs. The ABBI College Scholarship and Paul Effman Scholarship applications are now available. Both applications are due May 3.
ABBI College Scholarship
Arlington Band Boosters, Inc. will be awarding up to two $500.00 scholarships annually
to a high school senior contingent upon their enrollment at an accredited college
or university prior to June 1st of the scholarship year.
An application is required.
Sweeney Award
Arlington Band Boosters, Inc. will be awarding one $500.00 scholarship annually to a high
school senior. The Arlington Band Directors recommend and award based on their criteria.
No application is necessary.
Paul Effman Scholarship
In cooperation with ABBI, valued sponsor Paul Effman Music is offering one $500 scholarship
to a member of the Arlington Band Program. This scholarship will be awarded to assist a graduating
Arlington High School Senior who has been accepted to an established, accredited institution of
higher education for the purpose of advanced study in the area of music education and/or music
performance. A panel from Paul Effman Music will evaluate the applications and essays and choose
one recipient.
